Contest Directions:
Create original artwork using any material (paper, canvas, iPad, etc.) and any medium you prefer (paint, crayons, markers, colored pencils, or digital tools). The use of bright, bold color is strongly encouraged to reflect the spirit of the Arlington Color Run.
When your artwork is finished, take a clear photo in good lighting (make sure it is in focus and the entire design is visible) or scan your artwork.
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
Inspiration:
Think about what St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital means to you. How does their mission inspire hope? How does the Arlington Color Run bring people together to support St. Jude? Let these ideas guide your design.
Prizes: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes will be awarded in each group: K-2, 3-5, Middle School, and High School.
Eligibility
The contest is open to students currently enrolled in Arlington Community Schools. Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Original Artwork Requirement
All submitted artwork must be the participant’s original creation. Entries may not include copyrighted images, logos, characters, or other intellectual property owned by another person or organization.
Submission Guidelines

License and Use of Artwork
By submitting an entry, the participant and their parent/guardian grant Arlington Color Run, Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish, display, modify, and distribute the artwork in any format or media. This includes, but is not limited to, use on T-shirts, apparel, merchandise, promotional materials, marketing campaigns, websites, social media, and fundraising products offered for sale. No compensation will be provided beyond any prizes awarded as part of the contest.
Publicity Release
Participants grant permission for Arlington Color Run to use the artist’s name, grade level, and school in connection with contest promotion and recognition.
Copyright Warranty and Indemnification
By submitting artwork, participants and their parent/guardian affirm that the entry is original and does not infringe on the rights of others. They agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arlington Color Run, Inc., its officers, directors, volunteers, and partners from any claims arising from the submitted artwork.
General Conditions
Arlington Color Run reserves the right to edit artwork for production purposes and to disqualify entries that violate these rules or contain inappropriate content.
